Some Frequently Asked Questions

Do you require proof of vaccinations?

 

Current Rabies vaccination is required before service can be rendered by California Law. Acceptable forms of proof are either verbal confirmation from your veterinarian’s office or the receipt/invoice from their vaccination appointment with your pet’s name and the expiration date of the vaccination listed on the form.

Do you clean after each pet?

 

YES! We take every precaution to ensure your pet’s good health while in our van. We clean, sanitize and disinfect our tub, table, and tools after each dog. We take pride in our cleanliness.

Scheduling Appointments

All services are offered by appointment only. Any and all cancellations need to be given at least 72 hours of advanced notice. Cancellation or No-Show fees will be charged 100% of scheduled service. However, emergencies will be considered.

How often should I get my pet groomed?

 

You should get your dog groomer every 4 or 6 weeks.

How long does it take to groom my dog?

Generally it takes about an hour for a small dog and two hours for large dogs. We are always patient and cater to the dog’s behavior to ensure the Splash Dog experience is enjoyable.

What products do you use?

We use all natural therapeutic remedy products that are best for your dog’s skin and coat type.
Hypo-allergenic, non-detergent, soap free, medicated shampoos and conditioners are available and included in our pricing.

Do you use warm water?

We use tepid water. It’s warm! A dog’s body temperature is higher than humans so we don’t want to use too warm of water. They will be comfortable and pampered.

Do you put my dog in a cage?

 

No we do not! Towel and hand drying only. They will never be in a cage.
